Mark Bonnar, Investment Manager
Mark began his career with semiconductor equipment vendor Applied Materials Inc. based in Silicon Valley during this period he worked for many of the World's top chip manufacturers including NEC, Philips, Siemens, Intel & Motorola.
Subsequently Mark gained considerable start-up management experience in the UK including as CEO of Applied Thermal Control Ltd.
Prior to joining Cleantech Ventures in 2008 Mark was part of CSIRO's commercialisation team and responsible for the structuring and financing of spin-out companies based on high-growth opportunities emerging from its research portfolio. During this time Mark led several major transactions with private and public-listed companies.
Mark holds a BSc in applied physics and a PhD in materials science from Heriot Watt University (UK), professional qualifications in innovation management from Cranfield Business School (UK), is a chartered physicist and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has served on the boards of several growing technology companies.
